
Director of Player Development - John Kila

John is one of the most experienced and qualified coaches to ever work
in New Zealand. Born in Holland, John has over 20 years experience coaching
in the Dutch second and third divisions, where he has won 14 championships.
He was head coach at famous Dutch club AFC Amsterdam, which is the official
club partner of Ajax, in 2005-2006. He has also won three Dutch national
league (2nd Division) titles with Turkiyemspor in 2003 and 2004, and
with SVV Scheveningen in 2008. He earned his UEFA Pro Coaching License
in 2002 and has completed internships at Middlesbrough FC under Steve
McLaren, and at PSV Eindhoven under Sir Bobby Robson and Frank Arnesen.
In his role as Director of Player Development at Ole, John is responsible
for the technical aspects of all soccer programs. He also acts as the
Head Coach of the first team for Ole’s club partner Western Suburbs.
